The Difference between Java Chicken and Broiler Chicken

The difference between Broiler Chicken and Java chicken is in the taste of it's meat. In Indonesia market, Javanese Chicken's price is more expensive than the chicken broiler's price. Indonesia people say that Java chicken's meat is more tasty  and more delicious than broiler's meat. But Java chickens can be sold at high prices at the age of 5-6 months, while the broiler can be sold at the age of less than 2 months. Indonesian people also prefer Java Chicken's egg to Broiler chicken's eggs. They say that the  redder color of Javanese chicken's egg yolks show that Java chicken eggs contain more protein. Indonesian people are also using Java chicken's eggs as an herbal to keep the health of their body.

In my opinion, it's not the kind of the chicken that makes the taste of meat or chicken eggs were savory and delicious, but what the chickens eat that makes the taste of meat and eggs are different. Java chicken are usually released to play on house's yard so the chickens can eat worms, insects and grass as the vegetables while the broiler chicken raised in large numbers inside the cage without being able to eat worms, insects and vegetables.

I can say this because I ever bought a hundred (one box) broiler chicks and released them in my backyard. Their growth is slower than I expected, I was able to sell it after the chicken was 3 months old.  Perhaps because the chickens are too often running in the yard so the chicken's body become difficult to be fat. My friends are very happy with my chicken flavor because it's the same with Java chicken's flavor. Unfortunately, because the price of broiler chicken is cheaper than Java, I lose 50% of the capital. Now I choose raising Java chickens because they more resistant from disease, not too much eating (less in feeding) and the price is high.
